Finally, I got the chance to upgrade this blog to Drupal 11. I hinted in this post that the upgrade should be straightforward - and for the most part, it was. A few additional steps were needed, though:
- Removed the Classy base theme, which is no longer used
- Uninstalled the Stable base theme, also no longer needed
- Upgraded a few dependencies (for example, the Coffee module) to versions that support Drupal 11
- Updated the PHP version override in
composer.json/configto PHP 8.3, which I’ve already been running in production for quite some time
