Today marks 25 years of Drupal.
For me, Drupal is not just a CMS or a line on a CV. Over nearly 15 years of working with Drupal, it has quietly but profoundly shaped my life.
It enabled me to build a career that is not tied to a single place. Thanks to Drupal, I’ve moved between countries multiple times, worked with teams spread across continents, and visited a large part of Europe and World through Drupal conferences and community gatherings. Those events were never just about code — they were about sharing ideas, learning from each other, and building something bigger together.
Drupal also gave me the opportunity to work on meaningful projects — ones that aim to improve access to information, support organizations doing good work, and make the web a little better and more open.
And above all else, Drupal brought people into my life. Talented, generous, opinionated, inspiring people. Some of them I now proudly call friends.
After 25 years, Drupal is still evolving, still challenging assumptions, and still powered by a community that cares deeply about what it builds.
Thank you, Drupal — and to 25 more years.
